Jillian Guilfoyle (Derby, Conn.) put RIC on the board in the bottom of the second with a two-run double.

Melanie Earley (Lumberton, R.I.) and junior center fielder
Sophia Crudale (Cranston, R.I.) each knocked in a run, on a double and single, respectively, in the third inning.
• Senior shortstop
Amanda Conti (Lincoln, R.I.) went 2-for-3 with a run scored.
• Kidd started and hurled three scoreless innings without allowing a hit and striking out three. Von der Linden picked up the win (2-1), allowing just one run on five hits, in four innings of work.
