• After the hosts took the opening bout at 125 lbs., RIC stormed back with three straight wins, keyed by major decisions by seniors
Kwesi Amoa (Central Islip, N.Y.) and
Michael Pestana (North Bergen, N.J.), to build an 11-3 advantage.
• The Hawks took two of the next three matches to climb within four, 16-12, but a Fernandez pin and a decision by senior 197 lbs.
Matthew Kelly (Katonah, N.Y.) helped secure the win.
• Senior 285 lbs.
Michael Alfonso (Garfield, N.J.) capped the match with a pin as the club notched its fourth straight dual victory.
• RIC has won both of its matches with Roger Williams this season.
