Faith Owren (Richmond, R.I.) won (6-2, 6-0) at No. 5 singles as Rhode Island College shut out Southern Maine, 7-0, in Little East women's tennis action at the RIC Tennis Center on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• The Anchorwomen took the doubles point, winning all three matches, highlighted by sophomores
Arianna De Thomas' (Providence, R.I.) and
Emilia Houwers' (Whitewater, Wis.) win (6-1) at second doubles.
• RIC used a forfeit, the Owrens win and a straight set (6-2, 6-1) victory by Houwers to clinch the win.
• Three of RIC's four conference wins have been, 7-0, shutouts.
