Madison Medbury (Scituate, R.I.) notched her first career triple-double with 15 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists as Rhode Island College crushed Western Connecticut, 90-40, in Little East action played at the Murray Center on Tuesday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• RIC wasted no time building a lead as a plethora of scoring from multiple Anchorwomen gave the hosts a 19-point lead, 25-6, after the first quarter.

• Sophomore guard
Meagan Schuermann (Cooperstown, N.Y.) scored eight points in the first half to help build a 23-point advantage at the break, 44-21.

• In the third stanza, senior forward
Angelina Nardolillo (Hinsdale, N.H.) scored 10 points as the Anchorwomen put the game out of reach, leading, 71-31, with still 10 minutes left to play.

• RIC would close out the game with a season-high 90 points and the 40 points allowed is the fewest scored on the Anchorwomen in 15 games this winter.

• Schuermann tied a career-high with 21 points and also grabbed nine rebounds in the win.

• Nardolillo finished with 16 points, six rebounds and a career-high six blocks.
