Newport, R.I.—Freshman Emilia Houwers (Whitewater, Wisc.) paired with classmate Haylie Peacock (West Gardiner, Maine) for a 6-2 win at No. 2 doubles as Rhode Island College secured its fourth straight victory in a 6-1 win at Salve Regina on Tuesday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Rhode Island College went up, 1-0, after taking two of the three doubles bouts.
 
• A straight set (6-3, 6-0) win for Peacock at No. 4 singles started the ball rolling for the Anchorwomen and fifth-year Amiah Sommer (Cumberland, R.I.) clinched the match with a (6-3, 6-1) victory at No. 5 singles.
 
• Fifth-year Lauren Macera (Cranston, R.I.) improved to 4-0 on the season with a (6-2, 6-1) victory at No. 1 singles.
 
• Freshman Arianna De Thomas (Providence, R.I.) won at No. 3 singles and joined Houwers and Peacock with perfect 2-0 marks on the day for the rookie trio.
