Sutton, Mass.--Junior Cameron Mello (Somerset, Mass.) tied for first and earned medalist honors with a 75 as Rhode Island College concluded the 2023-24 season with a sixth place (11 teams) finish at Worcester State's Rich Korzec Memorial Invitational on Wednesday.
 
THE BASICS
• Rhode Island College placed sixth (11 teams) with a team score of 333 (+45). Nichols finished first with a 312 (+24)
 
• 51 golfers competed at the meet.
 
• The event was held at Blackstone National Golf Course and was a par-72.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Mello carded a 75 (+3) to tie with three other competitors.
 
• Sophomore Kyle Cullen (Glocester, R.I.) finished tied for 12^th with a 79 (+7).
 
• Junior Dillon Pereira (Coventry, R.I.) tied for 33^rd with an 89 (+17).
 
• Sophomore Sean Cullen (Chepachet, R.I.) and freshman Max Nasser (Middletown, R.I.) tied for 37^th with a 90 (+18).
