Castleton, Vt.--Senior guard Madison Medbury (Scituate, R.I.) dropped a career-high 30 points and grabbed six boards as Rhode Island College won at VTSU Castleton, 90-37, in Little East action on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• RIC wasted no time in building an early lead, going on an 11-0 run in the first four minutes as sophomore guard Meagan Schuermann (Cooperstown, N.Y.) hit a pair of layups during the stretch.
 
• The Anchorwomen would dominate the first half on both sides of the ball, leading the Spartans at the break, 51-23.
 
• RIC allowed just a combined 14 points in the final 20 minutes of the game to notch their second consecutive 35-plus point win.
 
• Schuermann registered 16 points and shot 66 percent from the field to pace the Anchorwomen.
 
• Senior forward Angelina Nardolillo (Hinsdale, N.H.) finished with 14 points and seven rebounds.

In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will continue Little East play at home vs. Southern Maine on Wednesday, Dec. 11 (5:30 p.m.).
