Providence, R.I.--Rhode Island College was saddened to learn of the passing of Athletic Hall of Famer Ray Huelbig '72, who passed away at his home on Nov. 28.

Huelbig is one of the greatest men's basketball players in program history and was inducted into RIC's inaugural Athletic Hall of Fame Class in 1989. He scored 1,472 career points, which ranks seventh all-time at the college.

Visting hours in memory of Huelbig will be held on Thursday, Dec. 5 from 3-7 p.m. at Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave., Lincoln, R.I. The burial will be private.
