Sarina Marines (Cranston, R.I.) recorded a double-double with 13 kills and 10 digs as the Rhode Island College women's volleyball team stopped a four-game losing skid with a 3-0 win over Elms at The Murray Center on Thursday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• The two teams started off by trading 5-0 runs to kick off an evenly-matched first set. A kill by sophomore middle blocker
Sydnee Pires (Rochester, Mass.) pushed the Anchorwomen to a 25-18 win.

Yuleisy Alvelo (Springfield, Mass.) put up a service ace and a kill in the second frame to lead RIC to a 25-21 victory and give the hosts a 2-0 advantage.
