Avery Katz (Brookfield, Conn.) led off the bottom of the first with a solo home run as Rhode Island College fell, 6-1, vs. Eastern Connecticut in game two of a Little East doubleheader played at the Dayna A. Bazar Softball Complex on Tuesday evening.

• Katz's solo blast proved to be the lone bright spot in the loss for the Anchorwomen.
• The Warriors tied the game in the second, took the lead in the fourth and plated two in both the fifth and sixth to secure the sweep. Eastern Connecticut edged RIC, 5-3, in eight innings in the opener.
