Danbury, Conn.--Sophomore Elijah Gouin (Glocester, R.I.) earned wins at No. 2 doubles and No. 4 singles as Rhode Island College clinched the second seed in the upcoming Little East Men's Tennis Championship with a 6-3 win at Western Connecticut on Wednesday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Gouin and classmate Noah Morin (Smithfield, R.I.) paired up at No. 2 doubles and collected the first of two RIC wins in doubles to take a 2-1 advantage heading into singles play.
 
• While WCSU secured wins at No. 1 and 2 singles, the Anchormen cleaned up the rest of the individual matchups, highlighted by Gouin's win (6-2, 6-0) at No. 4 singles and junior Jack Cadden's (Mattapoisett, Mass.) match-clinching victory (6-1, 6-4) at No. 3 singles.
