Medford, Mass.--Junior Michelson Salomon (Providence, R.I.) took home third in the weight throw at the Tufts National Qualifier meet on Saturday afternoon.
 
THE BASICS
• This was an individual event with no team scoring, held for student-athletes looking to improve their distances/times in preparation for the National Championship.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
• Salomon placed third in the weight throw (17.57m).
 
• Sophomore Mahari Nayte (Providence, R.I.) finished 22nd in the 800m (2:00.52).
 
WHAT'S NEXT
In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will find out if any members of the team will be selected to compete at the NCAA Div. III Men's Indoor Track and Field National Championship on Monday, March 6.
