Newport, R.I.--Sophomore Elijah Gouin (Glocester, R.I.) won at No. 4 singles and No. 2 doubles as the Rhode Island College men's tennis team lost a close match, 5-4, at Salve Regina on Tuesday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• The Anchormen built a 2-1 lead after doubles play, highlighted by a Gouin and sophomore Noah Morin (Smithfield, R.I.) win, 8-7 (7-0), at second doubles.
 
• The Seahawks took four of six in singles action to secure the win.
 
• Gouin won in three sets (6-3, 2-6, 7-5) at fourth singles, while sophomore Zach Siemmao (Wakefield, R.I.) won in straight sets (6-0, 6-2) at No. 5 singles.
