Anchorwomen Cap 2-0 Performance at Cruzin Classic in, 65-52, Win Over Baldwin Wallace

Miami Gardens, Fla.—Fifth-year forward Izabelle Booth (Newport, R.I.) netted a game-high 15 points as Rhode Island College defeated Baldwin Wallace, 65-52, to close out a two-game set at the Cruzin Classic on Thursday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• A three-pointer by junior guard Jayda Bing (Hamilton, N.J.) capped a 7-0 run to close the first quarter and give RIC a 16-8 lead.
 
 • The Anchorwomen buried Baldwin Wallace in the second quarter, holding the Yellow Jackets to just two points over the first nine minutes, and held a decisive, 42-13, lead at halftime.
 
• A graduate guard Sophia Guerrier (Waltham, Mass.) jumper two minutes into the third quarter equaled RIC's game-high 29-point, 44-15, advantage.
 
• RIC led by over 20 points for the majority of the fourth frame before taking out the starting lineup.
 
• Junior forward Angelina Nardolillo (Hinsdale, N.H.) posted 11 points. Guerrier finished with seven points, a game-high 10 rebounds and five steals.
 
• Fifth-year guard Jeniyah Jones (Randolph, Mass.) posted four points, eight boards and four assists.
 
WHAT'S NEXT
In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will resume Little East action at home vs. UMass Dartmouth on Thursday, Jan. 4 (5:30 p.m.).
