New York, N.Y.—Freshman 141 lbs. Owen Roche (Shrewsbury, Mass.) went 2-0 with a pair of pins, while junior 165 lbs. Christopher McCarthy (Middletown, N.J.) secured two technical fall wins, as Rhode Island College went 2-0 with victories vs. Hunter and New Jersey City University at the New York University Duals on Saturday afternoon.
 
THE HIGHLIGHTS:
• RIC fell to the hosts, 40-10, but downed Hunter, 52-4, and NJCU, 42-6, on the day.
 
• Junior 125 lbs. Fred Luchs (Belford, N.J.) picked up a major decision, 10-1, win over NYU's Benny Bautista. He went 2-1 on the day with a pin and a major decision.
 
• Sophomore 174 lbs. Scott Lallas (Farmington, N.H.) went 2-1 with a technical fall and a major decision.
 
• Junior heavyweight Edison Guarcas (Providence, R.I.) and freshman 184 lbs. Roel Johnson (Avon, Conn.) each notched two wins with a pin and a forfeit. Freshman 197 lbs. Anthony Fernandez (Nashua, N.H.) went 3-0 with a trio of forfeits.
