Providence, R.I.--Junior Fred Luchs (Belford, N.J.) picked up a pin and classmate Michael Pestana (North Bergen, N.J.) registered in an important decision as Rhode Island College lost, 25-18, vs. Western New England in New England Wrestling Association (NEWA) action held at the Recreation Center on Friday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• With the Anchormen down by six, 6-0, the hosts reeled off four straight wins, highlighted by Luchs' pin at 125 lbs. to take a 15-6 lead.
 
•  A 19-10 major decision by WNE sophomore Austin Monteiro (Wilbraham, Mass.) at 141 lbs. pulled the Golden Bears within five, 15-10, before Pestana's, 4-3,  decision at 149 lbs. put the hosts back up by eight, 18-10.
 
• With the visitors trailing by four, 18-14, graduate Sean Monteiro (Wilbraham, Mass.) garnered a technical fall win at 165 lbs. to vault WNE into the lead, 19-18.
 
• Junior CJ Glarapoulos (Mansfield, Mass.) secured a pin at 174 lbs. in the deciding and final match of the evening.
