• On Saturday, Devine and Sommer won, 8-6, at No. 2 doubles. Senior
Lauren Macera (Cranston, R.I.) and sophomore
Erica Botelho (Smithfield, R.I.) won, 8-5, at No. 1 doubles as the hosts took a 2-1 lead after pairs action. Both groups are now 5-0 vs. Little East opposition.
• Rain halted the match after doubles was finished and singles action picked back up at the RIC Tennis Center on Sunday afternoon.
• The Beacons swept all six singles matches to stay unbeaten in Little East play and hand RIC its first conference setback in 2023.
• The loss snapped an eight-match win streak for the Anchorwomen.
