Grace Luchka (North Scituate, R.I.) posted seven assists and eight digs as the Rhode Island College women's volleyball team lost to Connecticut College, 3-0, in the final contest of a tri-match hosted by the Camels on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• After the Camels raced out to a 20-8 lead in the first set, freshman defensive specialist
Marina Colonis (Waterford, Conn.) recorded two consecutive service aces to help bring the set to within three points. However, the Camels would walk away with the set 25-20.

• The second set was heavily favored towards the hosts, who held the lead for the entire stanza en route to a 25-13 win.

• CC posted a team hitting percentage of .281 in the third set for a 25-16 win to clinch the straight set victory.

Sydnee Pires (Rochester, Mass.) led RIC with five kills in the match.
