HOW IT HAPPENED
• The Anchorwomen found themselves trailing, 17-14, in the late stages of the first set. Two kills by freshman outside hitter
Marina Colonis (Waterford, Conn.) led RIC on an 11-3 run to snatch the opening stanza, 25-20.

• The Corsairs responded by going on a 7-0 run in the second frame to take a 17-9 lead en route to a 25-15 victory to tie the contest at 1-1.

• UMD dominated the third set, racing out to a 6-1 lead early. Junior outside hitter
Kate Wade (San Clemente, Calif.) posted four kills to win the set for the visitors, 25-10.

• Down, 15-9, in the fourth set, the Anchorwomen tried to mount a comeback, eventually closing the deficit to just three, but were unable to overcome the Corsairs advantage and lost the set, 25-17, and the match.
