Noah Morin (Smithfield, R.I.) won at No. 2 doubles, then clinched a 5-1 victory with a straight set decision at No. 2 singles, as No. 4-seeded Rhode Island College defeated No. 5-seeded Western Connecticut in first round action of the 2022 Little East Men's Tennis Championship at the RIC Tennis Center on Tuesday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• The hosts took two of three in doubles action as Morin paired with freshman
Zach Siemmao (Wakefield, R.I.) for an 8-4 win at second doubles.
• The Anchormen reached five points first, winning three singles bouts to advance in the tournament.
• Simmaeo won (6-4, 6-1) at No. 6 singles and classmate
Elijah Gouin (Glocester, R.I.) pulled RIC within a point of victory with a straight set (6-1, 6-3) win at No. 3 singles.
• Morin then won (7-5, 6-2) to clinch the match.
