Alex Bourque (North Smithfield, R.I.) won at both No. 1 singles and doubles as Rhode Island College opened Little East men's tennis play with a 6-3 win at Southern Maine on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Bourque and freshman
Noah Morin (Smithfield, R.I.) paired for an 8-1 victory at No. 1 doubles as the Anchormen took two of three in pairs action.
• Freshman
Elijah Gouin (Glocester, R.I.) and Bourque won at No. 4 and 1 singles, respectively, and Morin clinched the victory for the visitors with a straight set (6-0, 6-2) win at No. 3 singles.
• Gouin also went 2-0 on the day, picking up a win at No. 3 doubles.
