Erica Fluskey (Trumbull, Conn.) played in their final regular season home games as Rhode Island College fell (12-4; 12-1) to Plymouth State in a pair of Little East contests played at the Dayna A. Bazar Softball Complex on Friday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Game One:
• The Panthers broke the scoreless tie in the top of the second as sophomore first basemen
Sam McCann (Berlin, N.H.) roped a two-run home run to left field to stake a 2-0 lead.
• PSU added another run as freshman left fielder
Vanessa Bryan (Stoneham, Mass.) hit a solo inside the park home run to right field to give the Panthers a 3-0 lead in the third frame.
• The Panthers tacked on three runs in the fourth, highlighted by a Bryan RBI single, to push the visitor lead out to seven, 7-0.
• RIC scored its first its run of the game in the home half of the fifth as sophomore shortstop
Alexis LeBelle (Warwick, R.I.) hit a sacrifice fly to center field to bring in Fluskey.
• Bryan hit a two-run single to right field in the seventh to give the Panthers a 10-1 advantage.
• Freshman center fielder
Avery Katz (Brookfield, Conn.) doubled to left field in the bottom of the seventh to bring in a pair of runs to cut the Panther lead down to eight, 12-4.
• RIC freshman pitcher
Caitlin Lopez (Cranston, R.I.) took the loss (4-8).
• PSU graduate pitcher
Caitlyn Miller (Lee, N.H.) went 5.0 innings, allowing one run on four hits and struck out three in the victory (6-4).
Game Two:
• Bryan got the visitors on the board first in game two with an RBI ground out to score McCann and stake the Panthers to a 1-0 lead in the second inning.
• The Panthers plated five runs in the fourth frame on a pair of hits and one error to build a 9-0 lead.
• Junior catcher
Emily Picard (Berlin, N.H.) doubled with the bases loaded in the fifth to plate three and give the Panthers a 12-0 lead.
• Katz hit an RBI triple to center field that scored sophomore catcher
Callie Rathbun (North Kingstown, R.I.) for the lone run of the game for the Anchorwomen.
• PSU freshman pitcher
Alexis Michon (Montville, Conn.) threw 5.0 innings, allowing one run, four hits and struck out four batters in the win (8-3).
• RIC freshman pitcher
Tatiana Burcy (Boston, Mass.) suffered the loss (3-7).
BY THE NUMBERS
• Katz went 4-for-7 with three RBI.
• Fluskey went 2-for-4 with two runs scored.
• McCann went 4-for-6 with five runs scored and three RBI, while Bryan went 3-for-7 with a pair of runs scored and five RBI to lead the Panthers.
