Providence, R.I.—Junior Jenna Lisi (Cranston, R.I.) won in straight sets at No. 1 singles and also picked up a victory at No. 1 doubles as the Rhode Island College women's tennis team handed Plymouth State a 9-0 loss in Little East action played at the RIC Tennis Center on Tuesday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Lisi and senior Victoria Vittori (New Bedford, Mass.) won at No. 1 doubles (8-1), while senior Serena Bobola (Cranston, R.I.) and freshman Lauren Macera (Cranston, R.I.) pitched a shutout (8-0) at No. 2 doubles, as the Anchorwomen swept all three in pairs action.
 
• Lisi did not lose a game (6-0, 6-0) at the top singles spot to put the hosts within one match of the win.
 
• Macera won (6-0, 6-1) at No. 3 singles to complete the squad's eighth (9-0) shutout of the season.
 
WHAT'S NEXT
In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will continue Little East play at home vs. Western Connecticut on Friday, Oct. 8 (3:30 p.m.).
