Eden Anthony Honored on Women's Volleyball Senior Day

Providence, R.I.—Rhode Island College senior outside hitter Eden Anthony (Cranston, R.I.) was honored on Senior Day as the Anchorwomen closed out the 2021 season with a 3-0 setback vs. Keene State in Little East women's volleyball action at The Murray Center on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Anthony and her family were recognized prior to the match with a Senior Day Ceremony.
 
• Keene State dominated the first set, hitting .378 and winning by 10, 25-15. The Anchorwomen battled hard in the middle set, but fell by three, 25-22. The hosts fell short by four, 25-21, in the decisive third stanza.
 
• Junior outside hitter Amelia Murphy (North Attleboro, Mass.) finished with a match-high 15 kills and was second on the club with 10 digs.
 
• Sophomore middle hitter Angelly Polanco (Providence, R.I.) posted six kills.
 
• Junior libero Wynter Conlon (East Walpole, Mass.) led the hosts with a match-high 18 digs, while setter tandem of sophomore Aubrey St. Onge (Tilton, N.H.) and freshman Sydney Green (West Warwick, R.I.) finished with 15 and 14 assists respectively.
 
• Junior outside hitter Sydney Johnson (Brentwood, N.H.) led the visitors with 14 kills and 15 digs. Sophomore setter Kacie Blanchet (Salem, N.H.) handed out a match-high 38 assists.
 
• Senior middle blocker Emilyann Ashford (Silver City, N.M.) registered 10 kills and eight digs.
 
 BY THE NUMBERS
• Keene State hit. 309 (44-10-110), while the hosts hit .160 (37-18-119).
 
• The Owls led in kills (44-37), assists (44-30), digs (64-56) and blocks (5-2).
