Newton, Mass.--Freshman outside hitter Rhiannon Hodovanec (Feeding Hills, Mass.) recorded a double-double with 12 kills and 11 digs as Rhode Island College outlasted Lasell, 3-2, on Thursday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• RIC jumped out in front, winning the first frame, 25-22. Lasell responded by taking the next two stanzas, both by four points, 25-21. The Anchorwomen, with their backs against the wall, tied the match at two sets apiece with a seven-point, 25-18, in the fourth frame. RIC then rode that momentum to win the fifth and final set by three, 15-12.
 
• Junior outside hitter Amelia Murphy (North Attleboro, Mass.) knocked down 23 kills and 13 digs to record another double-double.
 
• Hodovanec was dominant from the service line with eight service aces.
 
• Sophomore setter Aubrey St. Onge (Tilton, N.H.) led the way for the Anchorwomen in the assist department, tallying 24 helpers.
 
• Four Anchorwomen recorded 10 or more digs, which included Murphy, St. Onge, Hodovanec, as well as junior libero Wynter Conlon (East Walpole, Mass.).   
 
• Lasell freshman outside hitter Sabine Milton (San Mateo, Calif.) posted 21 kills to go along with six digs and one service ace. 
 
BY THE NUMBERS

• RIC led in kills (52-44), assists (48-39), digs (71-63) and service aces (13-10).

• The win snapped a five-match losing streak for the Anchorwomen.
