Box Score Boston, Mass.--Senior forward Fataya Larry (Brooklyn, NY) led the Anchorwomen with a 15-point, 13-rebound, double-double as the Rhode Island College women's basketball team defeated UMass Boston, 67-52, in Little East action played at the Clark Athletic Center Gym on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Both teams got off to a slow start to begin the game, but the Anchorwomen went on a 9-4 run following the media timeout to hold a 17-7 lead after the first quarter.
• The second quarter was packed with action as the Beacons stormed back to take a 24-23 lead with 2:23 left to play and held a three-point, 30-27, lead at halftime.
• The lead shifted sides five times during the third quarter as the Anchorwomen led by five, 45-40, after three quarters of action.
• The Anchorwomen pushed out to their largest lead of 15, 67-52, with eight seconds to play in the fourth and closed out the Beacons to secure a split in the regular season series.
• RIC junior guard Sophia Guerrier (Waltham, MA) led all scorers with 21 points to go along with six boards and three assists. Senior guard Jordyn Gauvin (Fall River, MA) chipped in with nine points, five boards and dished out three assists.
• UMB junior guard Jalani Jackson (Brockton, MA) led the Beacons with 15 points and grabbed three boards.
BY THE NUMBERS
• RIC shot 41 percent (26-for-63) from the field, 24 percent (4-for-17) from three-point range and 69 percent (11-for-16) from the foul line. .
• UMB shot 35 percent (17-for-49) from the field, 40 percent (6-for-16) from three-point range and 80 percent (12-for-15) from the foul line.
• RIC controlled the glass by a large margin, 42-28, which included a 19-9 effort on the offensive glass.
• RIC outscored UMB in the pain, 42-28.
