New Haven, Conn.--Freshman Kelsey Gates (Orangeville, PA) finished fourth in the all-around as the Rhode Island College women's gymnastics team finished fifth at the Southern Connecticut Invitational on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• It was the third highest team score of the season for the Anchorwomen.
• Gates finished 23rd on vault (9.250), 21st on bars (8.850) and 20th on both beam (9.425) and floor (9.625) to finish fourth in the all-around (37.150).
• Junior Ali Peterman (Seneca Falls, NY) finished 21st on beam (9.275) and 26th on vault (9.050).
• Sophomore Sara Proctor (Waterford, CT) finished 24th on vault (9.200).
• Freshman Sydney Talabac (Cranston, RI) finished 25th on vault (9.100).
• Junior Christa Vaccaro (Winthrop, MA) tied for 22nd on bars (8.800).
• Junior Kaela Skerl (Albuquerque, NM) finished 25th on bars (8.450) and 29th on floor (9.150).
• Senior Chandler Lynn (Grosse Pointe Woods, MI) tied for 24th on beam (9.150) and finsihed 26th on floor (9.500).
• Senior Grace Davis (Royersford, PA) finished 30th on beam (8.700) and 24th on floor (9.575).
• Freshman Alison Silva (Brockton, MA) finished 22nd on beam (9.250).
