Springfield, Mass.--Senior Grace Davis (Royersford, PA) placed first on beam with a score of 9.375 as the Rhode Island College women's gymnastics team fell at Springfield, 186.650-179.600, in National Collegiate Gymnastics Association (NCGA) East Region action held at Blake Arena on Sunday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Davis also placed fifth on floor (9.350).
• Freshman Kelsey Gates (Orangeville, PA) won the all-around with a score of 36.200. She posted an 8.775 on vault, 8.950 on bars, 9.200 on beam and 9.275 on floor.
• Senior Kyndel Yett (Carrollton, GA) placed ninth on vault (8.600) and eighth on floor (9.225).
• Senior Chandler Lynn (Grosse Pointe Woods, MI) placed fourth on floor (9.400).
• Junior Ali Peterman (Seneca Falls, NY) posted her second-highest score of the season on beam (9.150).
