Plymouth, N.H.—Junior guard Sophia Guerrier (Waltham, MA) scored a game-high 21 points as Rhode Island College defeated Plymouth State, 63-44, in Little East women's basketball action played at Foley Gymnasium on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Guerrier also totaled five rebounds, two assists, one block and a game-high five steals.

• Senior guard Jordyn Gauvin (Fall River, MA) finished with 10 points, six rebounds, five assists, one block and a pair of steals. Senior forward Fataya Larry (Brooklyn, NY) pulled down a game-high 13 rebounds. Sophomore guard Abby Phelan (Norton, MA) picked up 11 points off the bench.

• PSU freshman forward Skyler Crayton (Lynn, MA) finished with 14 points, 13 boards and five steals. Senior guard Brittany Roche (Londonderry, NH) chipped in with 12 points and five rebounds. Senior guard Chenysse Hill (Lynn, MA) posted 10 points, four boards and three assists.

• The teams went back-and-forth with RIC holding, 15-9, edge at the end of the first. Plymouth State was able to chip away at the deficit, cutting the margin down to two in the second quarter, but a late spurt gave the Anchorwomen a 26-21 advantage at halftime.

• RIC pushed the margin to double-digits in the third and was able to maintain the lead throughout the end of the game.

BY THE NUMBERS
• RIC shot 37 percent (26-for-71) from the field, 15 percent (4-for-26) from beyond the three-point line and 44 percent (7-for-16) from the foul line.

• PSU shot 33 percent (17-for-52) from the field, 17 percent (2-for-12) from long range and 67 percent (8-for-12) from the foul line.

• RIC outrebounded PSU, 50-39, and committed seven less turnovers (16-23).
