Box Score Danbury, Conn.-Sophomore center Jessica Brielmaier (West Greenwich, RI) led four Anchorwomen in double figures with 17 points as Rhode Island College defeated Western Connecticut, 91-66, in Little East Conference Women's Basketball action on Monday evening. The 91 points is a new team-high for the club this season. The win also stopped a 10-game losing streak for the visitors.

• Brielmaier shot 7-of-9 from the field and pitched in with eight rebounds.
• Freshman guard Brooke Young (West Warwick, RI) posted a double-double with 16 points and a season-high 12 rebounds to go along with a pair of assists.
• Sophomore forward Ornela Livramento (Pawtucket, RI) had 12 points, five rebounds, a career-high eight assists, one block and two steals.
• Senior guard Jessa Rubera (Newton, MA) registered 15 points an five assists.
• WestConn sophomore guard Genesis Torres (Stratford, CT) led the hosts with 15 points.
• RIC led from the 6:52 mark of the first quarter and opened up a 17-point bulge, 37-20, following a layup from sophomore guard Kyla DePina (Cranston, RI) with 4:35 left in the first half.
• A bucket in the paint by junior guard Margaret McCaffrey (East Greenwich, RI) with 8:51 remaining in the game, gave the visitors its largest lead of the night, 77-45.

• RIC shot 61 percent (39-for-64) from the field, 33 percent (2-for-6) from beyond the three-point line and 69 percent (11-for-16) from the free throw line.
• Western shot 29 percent (22-for-77) from the field, 21 percent (9-for-42) from downtown and 65 percent (13-for-20) from the charity stripe.
• RIC dominated the glass, 47-37. RIC (26) and WCSU (19) combined for 45 turnovers.
