Jo-Ann D’Alessandro was a guard on RIC’s women’s basketball team from 1983-87. She is RIC’s second all-time leading scorer with 1,426 career points. She holds the RIC record for the most career assists and is second in career field goal percentage. D’Alessandro was a member of RIC’s ECAC Division III Championship team during the 1985-86 season.

Jo-Ann currently works as an Assistant Athletic Director at RIC.

She was the Director of Recreation for the Town of North Providence until 2002, a position she has held since 1995. Prior to taking the Director’s position, she was the Assistant Director for eight years.

D’Alessandro was formerly the Head Basketball Coach at Tolman High School in Pawtucket from 1992-95. She has also been an assistant coach at the Community College of Rhode Island and North Providence High School.
