Providence, R.I.--Junior guard Keyshaun Jacobs (Lynn, MA) has been named the Rhode Island College Male Athlete of The Week for his performance in a 2-0 week for the men's basketball team.
The Anchormen defeated Bridgewater State, 86-82, on Tuesday, Nov. 26. Jacobs scored 11 points to go along with three rebounds and three assists. Jacobs led the team with 33 points in a 97-77 win over Regis College on Sunday, Dec. 1.
For the season, Jacobs has played in seven games, starting all of them. He is averaging 23.6 ppg, 3.5 rpg and 1.1 apg.
Head Coach Tom Glynn's team is 6-1 overall and begins Little East Conference play at home vs. UMass Dartmouth on Wednesday, Dec. 4 (7:30 p.m.).
