4x200m Relay Wins N.E. Title and Breaks Program Record

Brunswick, Maine—The Rhode Island College 4x200m relay team won the N.E. Championship and established a new program record at the 2019 New England Div. III Women's Indoor Track & Field Championships, hosted by Bowdoin on Friday evening.

THE BASICS
• The Anchorwomen are currently tied for sixth (15 teams) with a team score of 10.0 after the first day of competition. Williams is currently in first place with 48.0 points.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Seniors Eleni and Nicole Grammas (Cranston, RI), junior Emma Landroche (Warwick, RI) and freshman Trinity Hayes (Providence, RI) finished first overall in the 4x200m relay with a program-record time of 1:43.04.

• The quartet won the N.E. Alliance and Little East title in the same event last week.

• This was RIC's only action of the night. The remainder of the squad will compete in day two of the N.E. Championship tomorrow afternoon.
