COACH JONES ON THE TOURNAMENT
"After a tough last weekend in Pennsylvania, we returned for four more matches with the goal of coming back 3-1 or better. We were on our way to that goal until senior Mike Gallagher (Saunderstown, RI), our best wrestler, suffered an awful injury while winning his match," RIC Head Coach Jay Jones said. "Obviously we wanted to reach our goal, but more importantly our hearts bleeds for our dedicated senior captain. We hope and pray he will be able to compete again down the road, but for now, it is about him getting healthy. I am proud of the way the guys bounced back to get into the win column this weekend, but I'm really heartbroken for our nationally-ranked senior captain."
