RIC Wrestling Finishes 8th at Bomber Invitational

Providence, R.I.—Senior Michael Gallagher (Saunderstown, RI) finished fourth at 197 lbs. as the Rhode Island College wrestling team placed eighth (12 teams) at the Ithaca Bomber Invitational on Friday and Saturday.

THE BASICS
Rhode Island College finished eighth (12 teams) with a team score of 48.5. Ithaca won the title with a team score of 167.0.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Gallagher went 3-2 with a pair of pins to post the highest individual finish on the team.

• Senior Zach Ford (Flagler Beach, FL) finished fifth at 157 lbs., posting a 4-2 record with a pin and a major decision on the weekend.

• Junior Sam Lindblom (Waterford, CT) posted a 2-2 record at 157 lbs.

• Senior Tim Caplan (Portland, CT) went 2-2 at 174 lbs.

WHAT'S NEXT
• In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will travel to New England Wrestling Association (NEWA) rival Johnson & Wales on Tuesday, Nov. 13 (7 p.m.).
