RIC WRESTLERS SEE ACTION AT JOHNSON & WALES WILDCAT OPEN

Providence, R.I.-Several members of the Rhode Island College wrestling team participated in the Wildcat Open, hosted by Johnson & Wales on Sunday afternoon.

 

THE BASICS

• The open style tournament featured some of the top wrestlers in the Northeast Region competing as individuals.

  

HOW IT HAPPENED

• RIC junior Daniel Murray (Bay Shore, NY) competed at 133 lbs and posted an 0-2 record.

• Freshman James Smith (Belle Meade, NJ) wrestled at 157 lbs. for the Anchormen, going 0-2 for the tournament.

• Sophomore Jordan Zanni (North Providence, RI) went 0-2 on the day at 285 lbs. for RIC.

 

WHAT'S NEXT

• In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will travel to intra-state rival Roger Williams on Friday, Feb. 2 (7 p.m.).
