Megan Mahan Takes First Place as Women's Golf Falls to Wildcats

East Providence, R.I.—Sophomore Megan Mahan (North Andover, MA) finished in first place after shooting a career-best round of 80 as the Rhode Island College women's golf team opened the spring portion of their schedule with a, 386-413, setback against Johnson & Wales in a dual match played at the Agawam Hunt Country Club on Sunday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Junior Jean Marie Arnold (Wakefield, RI) registered a fifth place finish after carding a 106, while senior Meghan Rocheleau (Warwick, RI) shot a 113 to finish seventh.

• Freshman Natalie Jepson (Shoreham, NY) rounded out the RIC golfers and carded a 114 for an eighth place finish.

In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will travel to Westfield State for a tri-match with the Owls and Suffolk on Saturday, April 13.
