ANCHORWOMEN FINISH 15TH AT MOUNT HOLYOKE INVITATIONAL

South Hadley, Mass.-Rhode Island college freshman Megan Mahan (North Andover, MA)finished in a tie for 67th place with a score of 187 (95, 92) at the 2017 Mount Holyoke Invitational played at the Orchards Golf Club on Saturday and Sunday afternoon.

 

THE BASICS

Rhode Island College finished in 15th place (18 teams) with a team score of 784 (395, 389). Williams took home the team championship with a team score of 603 (307, 296).

 

HOW IT HAPPENED

• RIC sophomore Nicole Langella (Pembroke, MA) finished in a tie for 72nd place with a score of 191 (97, 94).

• Junior Meghan Rocheleau (Warwick, RI) finished in a tie for 76th place with a 197 (103, 93).

• Sophomore Jean Marie Arnold (Westerly, RI) rounded out the Anchorwomen golfers with an 88th place finish with a 209 (100, 109).

 

BY THE NUMBERS

• 18 teams and 101 golfers competed at The Orchards, a Par-72 course that measures 5,845 yards.

 

WHO'S NEXT

In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will travel to the Middlebury Invitational on Saturday-Sunday, Sept. 30-Oct. 1 (11:30 a.m.).
