Providence, R.I.—Head Coach Jenna Cosgrove’s (Career record: 27-26; .509) closed out the 2018-19 season with an 18-9 overall record and a 9-7 (fifth place) mark in the Little East Conference.

The No. 5-seeded Anchorwomen opened the 2019 Little East Championship with a 66-44 win at No. 4-seeded UMass Boston on Feb. 19. RIC then fell to No. 1-seeded UMass Dartmouth, 71-65, in the semifinals on Feb. 22 to end the season.

Junior guard Jordyn Gauvin (Fall River, MA) played in 27 games, starting 24 of them. She averaged 7.4 points, 4.4 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.0 steals per game. Gauvin scored 18 points in a 63-58 loss in overtime vs. Southern Maine Jan. 26. She had 10 points and 10 rebounds in a 57-38 win over Wentworth on Nov. 16. Gauvin had eight points, six rebounds and six assists in a 66-44 win over UMass Boston on Feb. 19. She had four steals, four points, five assists and three rebounds in a 75-49 win over Western Connecticut on Dec. 1.

Junior forward Ornela Livramento (Pawtucket, RI) was named the Little East Defensive Player of the Year and First Team All-Little East. She played in 27 games, starting 26 of them. Livramento averaged 10.1 points, 7.6 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 2.4 steals per game. She reached double figures in scoring 15 times on the season. Livramento grabbed 10 or more rebounds in a game in six times. She had 20 points in a 66-44 win over UMass Boston on Feb. 19. Livramento had 13 rebounds in a game twice. She dished our four assists twice. Livramento had six steals in a 50-46 win over Castleton on Jan. 30.

Sophomore guard Sophia Guerrier (Waltham, MA) played in 27 games, starting 22 of them. She averaged 8.2 points, 4.4 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 2.4 steals per game. Guerrier reached double figures in scoring 11 times on the season. She had 21 points, five boards, three blocks and three steals in a 68-59 win vs. Western Connecticut on Feb. 13. Guerrier grabbed eight boards in a game four times on the season. She had five assists in a game twice. Guerrier had six points and six steals in an 86-43 win over Lesley on Nov. 17.

Sophomore guard Brooke Young (West Warwick, RI) was named the team MVP. She played in 27 games, starting 26 of them. Young averaged 10.3 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game. She scored in double figures in 16 games this season. Young had 19 points in a 58-44 win over Elms on Nov. 14.  She had eight rebounds and 14 points  in a 63-48 win over Roger Williams on Nov. 25. Young had 14 points and six assists in a 68-59 win over Western Connecticut on Feb. 13. She had three steals in an 86-43 win over Lesley on Nov. 17.

Freshman forward Analeesia Fernandes (Taunton, MA) played in 23 games. She averaged 3.7 points and 3.2 rebounds per game. Fernandes had 12 points, five rebounds and five assists in a 96-29 win over Pine Manor on Feb. 4. She had seven points and seven rebounds  in a 50-46 win vs. Castleton on Jan. 30. Fernandes had two steals in a game five times on the season.

Freshman guard Maire Gallagher (Worcester, MA) played in 27 games, starting four of them. She averaged 4.5 points, 2.1 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game. Gallagher had 13 points, four boards and three steals in a 63-48 win over Roger Williams on Nov. 25. She had 10 points, five rebounds and five assists  in a 60-52 loss vs. Eastern Connecticut on Nov. 28.  Gallagher dished out six assists in a 96-29 win over Pine Manor on Feb. 4.

Freshman guard Geneajha Kilgore (North Kingstown, RI) played in 13 games. She averaged 1.6 points and 1.4 rebounds per game. Kilgore had 10 points, six rebounds and two assists in a 96-29 win over Pine Manor on Feb. 4. She had two steals in a 61-35 win over Keene State on Dec. 5.

Freshman guard Laura Martin (Weare, NH) played in 10 games. She averaged 1.8 points per game. Martin had six points in an 86-43 win over Lesley on Nov. 17. Martin had five points, three rebounds and an assist in a 96-29 win over Pine Manor on Feb. 4.

Freshman forward Willcia McBorrough (Providence, RI) was named the Little East Rookie of the Year and to the New England Women’s Basketball Association’s (NEWBA) All-Rookie team. She played in 27 games, starting all of them. She averaged 8.0 points and 7.4 rebounds per game. McBorrough reached double figures in scoring 13 times. She grabbed 10 or more rebounds in a game seven times. McBorrough had four double-doubles on the season. She had 17 points and 10 boards in a 58-51 loss vs. UMass Boston on Jan. 12. McBorrough had 14 points, 14 boards and three blocks in a 58-51 win over Plymouth State on Jan. 23. She had two assists in a game four times. McBorrough had four blocks in a 63-48 win over Roger Williams on Nov. 25. She had two steals twice on the season. She was named the Little East Rookie of the Week four times and the NEWBA Rookie of the Week on two occasions.

Freshman guard Abby Phelan (Norton, MA) played in 20 games, starting two of them. She averaged 2.5 points per game. Phelan had 16 points and a pair of steals in an 84-46 win vs. Salem State on Nov. 10. She had three rebounds in a 58-44 win over Elms on Nov. 14. Phelan had two steals in a game twice on the season. She was named the Little East Rookie of the Week once on the season.

Freshman guard Taylor Thompson (Greenville, SC) played in 24 games, starting four of them. She averaged 4.9 points and 3.3 rebounds per game. Thompson had 13 points in a 77-65 loss vs. UMass Dartmouth on Feb. 6. Thompson had seven points and 11 boards in a 71-65 loss vs. UMass Dartmouth on Feb. 22. She had eight points, four rebounds, three assists and two steals in an 96-29 win over Pine Manor on Feb. 4.  Thompson had five points, four boards, one assist and four steals in a 58-51 loss vs. UMass Boston on Jan. 12.
