    Providence, R.I.--The Rhode Island College softball team swept the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts in a non-conference doubleheader played at the Bazar Softball Complex on Sunday afternoon. The Anchormen posted a 13-3 win in the opener and finished the sweep with a 19-1 win in the nightcap. Both games were ended in the fifth inning due to the eight-run rule.
  • Cushman Belts Three Home Runs As Softball Sweeps Massachusetts Maritime

    Framingham, Mass.--Rhode Island College freshman second baseman Marissa Cushman (Cranston, RI) belted three home runs to lead the softball team to a sweep of Massachusetts Maritime in a non-conference doubleheader on Tuesday. The Anchorwomen posted a 26-0 victory (five innings) in the opener and finished the sweep with a 12-2 win in the nightcap.

    Winchester, Va.--The Rhode Island College softball team was swept in a doubleheader on the road against Shenandoah on Tuesday afternoon. The Anchorwomen fell by a score of 10-9 in the opener, and dropped a 13-0 decision in five innings in the nightcap.

    Ashland, Va.—The Rhode Island College softball team lost a doubleheader at Randolph-Macon on Monday afternoon. The Anchorwomen lost the opening contest, 8-0 (six innings), before falling to the Yellow Jackets, 6-0, in the nightcap.

    Washington, D.C.—Senior second baseman Emma Simmons (Saunderstown, RI) went 2-for-3 with two runs scored, one RBI and a pair of doubles as the Rhode Island College softball team opened the 2019 season with an 11-1 (five innings) win at Gallaudet on Saturday afternoon.
