Men's Track & Field Competes at Boston University's Valentine Invitational

Boston, Mass.--The Rhode Island College men's track & field team competed at the 2019 Boston University David Hemery Valentine Invitational over the weekend.

THE BASICS
• This individual meet featured some of the best NCAA Div. I, II and III teams from across the country.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Sophomore Mike Rossi (Lincoln, RI) finished 39th in the 60m (7.69) and was 196th  in the 200m (24.98).

• Freshman Axel-demaude Bandoma (North Providence, RI) finished 185th in the 200m (24.01) and was 187th in the 400m (55.62).

• Sophomore Stanley Guillaume (Boston, MA) registered a 190th place finish in the 400m (1:00.12), while freshman Edward Garofalo (Newport, RI) finished 33rd in the triple jump (12.81m). 

• Freshman Matthew Thibaudeau (Lincoln, RI) finished 18th (13.79m) in the weight throw, while junior Joe Palazzo (North Providence, RI) finished 24th (13.24m) and senior Adam Stomberg (West Greenwich, RI) placed 37th (10.92m) in the same event.

WHAT'S NEXT
In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will compete at the N.E. Alliance Championship, hosted by Plymouth State on Saturday, Feb. 16 (10 a.m.).
