Dennis Vazquez Named First Team All-Little East in Men's Soccer

Providence, R.I.—Rhode Island College senior midfielder Dennis Vazquez (Providence, RI) was named First Team All-Little East for his performance in men’s soccer during the 2018 season.

Vazquez played in 16 games, starting all of them. He had five goals and three assists for 13 points. Vazquez led the team in points and was tied for the lead in both goals and assists. He scored the game-winning goal in three of the club’s four wins on the season.

For his career, Vazquez played in 73 games, starting 68 of them. He totaled 20 goals and 24 assists for 64 career points, to go along with eight game-winning goals. Vazquez finished his career ranking third in career assists, 13th in points and tied for 16th in goals in program history.

Vazquez was a Third Team All-New England and a First Team All-LEC selection as a junior in 2017. He was a Second Team All-LEC selection as a sophomore in 2016.

Head Coach John Mello’s team finished the 2018 season with a 4-10-2 overall record and a 1-6-1 mark in the Little East.
