Men’s Golf Takes 13th at JWU Invitational

Cranston, R.I.--Rhode Island College junior Tyler Boisclair (West Warwick, RI) finished in fifth place with a 148 (76, 72) as he led the men's golf team to a 13th place finish at the 2019 JWU Wildcat Invitational, played at Cranston Country Club over the weekend.

THE BASICS
• The Anchormen shot a  653 (343, 310), which was good for 13th place (20 teams), while Amherst took home the team title with a 596 (297, 299).

HOW IT HAPPENED
• Senior Mike Caparco (Johnston, RI) finished tied for 38th after shooting a 157 (84, 73). Junior Evan Moore (Portsmouth, RI) tied for 80th with a 170 (89, 81) for the weekend.

• Senior Victor Dumont (Riverside, RI) notched a 95th place finish with a 179 (95, 84), while junior Matthew Butler (Johnston, RI) rounded out the Anchormen golfers, tying for 96th with a 181 (94, 87).

WHAT'S NEXT
In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will travel to the Worcester State Invitational on Tuesday, April 16.
