Benjamin Vezele Named Little East Men's Basketball Player of the Week

Providence, R.I.—Junior forward Benjamin Vezele (Providence, RI) was named the Little East Men’s Basketball Player of the Week for his performance in two Anchorman wins to open the 2018-19 season.

Vezele has played in two games, starting both of them. He is averaging 21.0 ppg, 12.0 rpg, 5.5 bpg and 1.5 spg. He had 21 points, nine rebounds, five blocks and three steals as RIC opened the season with an 87-64 win over Fitchburg State on Nov. 8. Vezele registered 21 points, 15 boards and six blocks in a 71-58 victory at Elms on Nov. 10.

Head Coach Tom Glynn’s team is 2-0 on the season. In upcoming action, Rhode Island College will play at Johnson and Wales on Wednesday, Nov. 14 (7 p.m.).
