North Dartmouth, Mass.--Senior Morgan McCann (Pawtucket, R.I.) finished first in a pair of events to lead the Rhode Island College women's swimming team at UMass Dartmouth's Louise Goodrum Invitational, held at Tripp Athletic Center on Saturday afternoon.
 
THE BASICS
• It was an individual meet with no team scoring.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
• McCann finished first in both the 50-yard breaststroke (36.85) and 100-yard breaststroke (1:22.60) and second in the 400-yard IM (5:52.64), 200-yard breaststroke (2:59.01) and 400-yard freestyle relay (4:30.60).
 
• Sophomore Taryn Reed (Pascoag, R.I.) finished first in both the 200-yard backstroke (2:47.43) and the 200-yard freestyle relay (2:08.75), second in the 1,650-yard freestyle (24:05.85) and third in both the 200-yard medley relay (2:26.97) and the 200-yard freestyle (2:36.30).
 
• Junior Ivy Par (Pawtucket, R.I.) finished first in the 200-yard freestyle relay (2:08.75), second in both the 50-yard freestyle (33.72) and the 200-yard butterfly (3:22.74), third in the 200-yard medley relay (2:26.97) and fifth in the 50-yard butterfly (38:10).
 
• Junior Joanmarie Joly (Pawtucket, R.I.) finished first in the 200-yard freestyle relay (2:08.75), third in the 200-yard medley relay (2:26.97), 50-yard butterfly (34.90) and the 200-yard butterfly (3:31.00) and fourth in the 100-yard butterfly (1:29.40).
 
• Freshman Alana Sousa (Berkley, Mass.) finished first in the 200-yard freestyle relay (2:08.75), second in both the 100-yard backstroke (1:21.59) and the 100-yard IM (1:23.46), and third in both the 200-yard backstroke (2:53.75) and the 400-yard freestyle relay (4:56.27).
 
• Freshman Katelyn Rogers (Woonsocket, R.I.) finished first in the 200-yard IM (2:53.69), second in both the 500-yard freestyle (6:37.50) and the 400-yard freestyle relay (4:30.60) and fourth in the 200-yard breaststroke (3:23.30).
 
• Freshman Victoria Badger (Cranston, R.I.) finished first in the 50-yard backstroke (35.30) and second in the 200-yard medley relay (2:24.38), 200-yard backstroke (2:50.60) and the 400-yard freestyle relay (4:30.60).
 
• Freshman Madison Ventura (Warwick, R.I.) finished first in the 100-yard freestyle (1:19.42), third in both the 500-yard freestyle (7:29.65) and 200-yard freestyle relay (2:33.98) and came fifth in the 200-yard freestyle (2:50.76).
 
• Sophomore Meghan McCann (Pawtucket, R.I.) finished second in the 200-yard medley relay (2:24.38), 100-yard butterfly (1:22.29) and the 400-yard freestyle relay (4:30.60) and third in both the 200-yard breaststroke (3:07.35) and the 400-yard IM (5:55.86).
 
• Freshman Marina Pereira (Cumberland, R.I.) finished second in both the 200-yard medley relay (2:24.38) and the 50-yard butterfly (33.99), and third in both the 100-yard butterfly (1:22.43) and the 50-yard backstroke (40.84).
 
• Junior Abigail Steinhilber (Warwick, R.I.) finished second in the 50-yard backstroke (40.21), third in both the 100-yard backstroke (1:24.47) and the 400-yard freestyle relay (4:56.27) and fifth in the 200-yard backstroke (3:00.91).
 
• Junior Kate Clayman (Smithfield, R.I.) finished second in the 200-yard IM (3:04.69), third in both the 200-yard medley relay (2:26.97) and the 400-yard freestyle relay (4:56.27), fourth in the 200-yard freestyle (2:36.40) and fifth in the 200-yard breaststroke (3:34.65).
 
• Junior Mabel Huynh (North Providence, R.I.) finished second in both the 200-yard medley relay (2:24.38) and the 100-yard breaststroke (1:35.68), third in the 400-yard freestyle relay (4:56.27) and fourth in both the 200-yard backstroke (2:58.73) and the 400-yard IM (6:23.84).
 
• Sophomore Lydia Paul (Lincoln, R.I.) finished second in the 100-yard freestyle (1:23.56) and third in the 50-yard freestyle (37.85), 200-yard freestyle relay (2:33.98) and the 100-yard IM (1:39.07).
 
• Senior Olivia Landry (Lincoln, R.I.) finished third in the 200-yard freestyle relay (2:33.98), fourth in both the 100-yard backstroke (1:50.93) and the 50-yard backstroke (53.66) and sixth in the 200-yard backstroke (3:40.77).

• Junior Elizabeth Shepard (Smithfield, R.I.) finished third in the 200-yard freestyle relay (2:33.98), fourth in both the 50-yard butterfly (38:00) and the 200-yard butterfly (3:55.36) and fifth in the 100-yard butterfly (1:45.28).
