Rhode Island College (4-7-6, 2-3-3 LEC)
Eastern Connecticut (8-7-1, 4-3-1 LEC)

HOW IT HAPPENED
• The Anchormen scored five minutes into the game as junior midfielder Ian Mackin (Richmond, R.I.) tucked an 18-yard shot in the lower left corner on passes after a long clear by junior goalkeeper Elhadji Ndoye (Cranston, R.I.) and a pass by freshman forward Luizandro Sanches (Pawtucket, R.I.).

• Eastern was able to equalize not too long after in the 17th minute, bringing the score to level at one goal apiece.

• The hosts were able to net the go-ahead marker 10 minutes before the first half would end as Liang capitalized for his first career goal off another assist from Sanches.

• It seemed the Anchormen had all the momentum in the second half as they recorded four shots on target within the opening 11 minutes of the frame.

• Liang would score his second collegiate goal and give the hosts and important insurance tally in the 67th minute as junior midfielder Donovan Battle (Hudson, Mass.) headed him a pass off another long Ndoye clear.

• Ndoye made six saves to secure the win (2-4-3).

• RIC closed out the season with two straight conference wins.
