Providence, R.I.--Senior guard Madison Medbury (Scituate, R.I.) recorded 27 points, eight rebounds, six assists and three steals as Rhode Island College took down Plymouth State, 70-47, in Little East action played at the Murray Center on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• The Anchorwomen trailed, 9-4, midway through the first quarter before going on a 13-1 run, keyed by a pair of Medbury three-pointers, as RIC led, 17-10, going into the second quarter.
 
• RIC would then never look back, as the Anchorwomen allowed only seven points in the second stanza to double-up the Panthers, 34-17, going into the locker room at halftime.
 
• The Anchorwomen would increase their lead to 23, 52-39, in the third quarter before the visitors hit a late-quarter buzzer-beater to trail by 20, 52-32, going into the final 10 minutes.
 
• RIC's advantage never dipped below 18 points over the final quarter as the Anchorwomen secured their fifth league win of the season. 

• Junior forward Claire Greene (Storrs, Conn.) pitched in a career-high 11 points on 80 percent shooting (4-for-5) off the bench.
 
• Sophomore guard Meagan Schuermann (Cooperstown, N.Y.) contributed 12 points, four rebounds and connected on 5-of-7 from the floor on the day.
