HOW IT HAPPENED
GAME ONE
• RIC jumped on the Bears early and often, knocking in 11 runs through the first three innings, en route to a convincing win.

• RIC was paced by a pinch-hit home run from freshman right fielder
Sean Helfrich (Saunderstown, R.I.) and a grand slam from Trzepacz.

• Sophomore pitcher
Andrew Sears (West Warwick, R.I.) went six innings, giving up one run and punching out eight, in the winning effort (2-1).

• Coast Guard junior pitcher
John Thigpin (Tuscaloosa, Ala.) was saddled with the loss (0-2).

• The hosts scored at least three runs in all but one inning in the opener.

GAME TWO
• RIC once again scored 11 runs through three innings and the home run power was on display once again.

• Four Anchormen went yard, which included sophomore center fielder
Cameron Santerre (Bristol, R.I.) who had a home run in both games.

• Freshman pitcher
Mike Belcher (Norton, Mass.) started game two for the Anchormen and threw five innings of two-run ball to earn the win (1-0).

• CGA senior pitcher
Connor Glynn (Fairfax, Va.) took the loss (1-1).

BY THE NUMBERS
• Santerre finished 4-for-8 on the day with four runs scored, four RBI, two homers and a stolen base.

• Trzepacz went 6-for-9 with seven runs scored, five RBI, two doubles, a grand slam and a stolen base.
